I've used a range of earpieces, ranging from the listen only earpieces or the push-to-talk models that have an earpiece included. After my time using them, I've found that the surveillance models that are push-to-talk are too small for high-stress situations or while you're wearing gloves.
So I wanted to find a good earpiece to use while using my department-issue "brick" microphone. I've never had more frustration with the models of earpieces that have the "L-shaped" connector since it's always getting unplugged or twisted up.
I purchased this based off a recommendation from a fellow officer and I could not be more happy about it. The coil is long enough that I can have the wire tucked in my uniform with no wires poking out that I think looks unprofessional. The connection plugs into the connector on my radio and then screws in to keep it secured. Very affordable, high quality, great sound quality, I could not recommend this more.
